When there is a net operating loss of $ 50000 , then Alfred has no tax dues in the current year. The other options are not true as “b” option is not true because carrying the loss back two years is now not available now . Option “c” and Option “d” are not true as there is no limit of 20 years for carry forward of net operating loss and the net operating loss can be carried forward indefinitely but it cannot be utilized fully in any subsequent tax year and can be only utilized to the extent of 80% of the taxable income of that particular subsequent year
