As a nurse before surgery you have to do physical examination of patient and vital signs are must to be taken, because there is a history of hypertension, to stabilize the blood pressure of patient antihypertensive drugs should be administered as per physician order. For pain relieving corticosteroids should be avoided because this is a case of bowel preforation.

IV fluids should be administered for preventing patient from dehydration and nutritional deficiency.

For diagnostic purpose IOP(intra occular pressure) should be monitored, blood smaple should be send for PTINR for chwckung clothing time and bleeding time.

And other blood culture tests should be performed such as bacterial identification or viral identification.

So these are some major things to do.
