Should WTO( world trada organization) regulations be reformed to improve population health? Why or why not?

• In my view, it is not necessary because,
• WTO follows a non discrimination policy
• Their agreements related to health policies are TBT, SPS, TRIPS and trade in services
• For WTO, Human health is considered as the highest degree
• As per TRIPS agreement , the patient protection for pharmaceutical products is critical. It promotes a balance between invention of new drugs and affordable access to existing drugs
• The other activities of WTO are Infection control, Food safety ( The issues of food are coveredat SPS agreement) especially when they export processed meat, usage of additives, presence of toxins, Tobacco control
• WTO also care environment by using modern green technologies, removal of subsidie to the polluting industries
• WTO has a role for developing nations to reach their maximum by helping through trade liberilization for developing country exports, along with financial and technology transfers.
• Access to drugs and vaccines, Many health services like hospital financed by foreign sectors
• WTO is also trying to manage when there is a brain drain occurs in the developing country.
• Food security and nutrition by advanced agricultural method and food security agenda especially at developing countries
• Involve in emerging issues such as Bio technology and information technology
