6) Does a ban on the sale of large sugary drinks( think big gulp or double gulp at 7 eleven) Make sense for public health practice? Why or why not?

We all know that too much consumption of sugary drinks can affect our body adversely. It results in obesity in both children and adults as well as reduced bone strength and tooth decaying. So no doubt that consumption of sugary drinks should be limited. But I think the ban on the sale of large sugary drinks is not a good idea to implement because of the following reasons.

1. Even though the ban on the sale of large sugary drinks will reduce its consumption, it is clearly against freedom and liberty. The government can motivate campaigns against sugary drinks to aware people about its negative effects like they did in the case of smoking. This can reduce the number of sugary drinks.

2. Ban on the sale of large sugary drinks will result in the unemployment of many people who are not directly involved in sales and consumption.

3. If big companies are banned, several local companies can make their way to market and there is always a threat of low-quality sugary drinks.
