1.Classification of amines are different from that of alcohol because it has one lone pair and three bonds, hence a neutral bonding pattern. It can be classified by looking at the Nitrogen atom and no. of alkyl group attached to it.
2. Amines are more basic because the lone pair on the Nitrogen atom is more nucleophilic in nature than the oxygen atom of the alcohol because Nitrogen atom is less electronegative than the oxygen atom. Hence it binds the lone pair less tightly than oxygen atom.
