w = weight of the mass deposited = 2.6g

z = equivalent weight of the metal / 96500 = x/2

I = current= 5amp

t = time taken to deposit = 30*60

w = [x/ (2*96500)] * 5 * 30*60

w = 501800/9000 = 55.75

Hence the metal is iron
