This story describes the nature of a woman in the late 19th century. Kate Chopin describes the woman life of unhappy marriages. Mrs. Mallard is viewed as an inhuman and unlovable person. Mr. Brently Mallard death not even given any grief or shock to Mrs. Louise. Mallard is an inhuman and unlovable person. Louise perceived him as an unthinkable person and lived unhappily with him. Mallard death gave her a new form of life. Louise found new freedom after the loss of her husband Brently. She breathes new wind and loves her life more than before. She admires on the nature of the sky, bird's song, clouds, and rain. She prayed that her life to be long.

She realized herself as a feminist. Her impending awareness makes her force against the norms that restrict women's action. Gender oppression makes her to lost her own identity and recognition. Instead of weeping for her husband, she likes to live for herself in the rest of her life. She repeated the word of free and open changed the fearful life into an exciting life. She self-determined herself and lived for her absolutely.

Chopin describes that the marriage makes her be bent and her self-determination realizes her body and soul. The feminist theory explained the role of girls and women experiences in society. In the real world, women have been viewed with inequality, oppression, and injustice in society. Feminist theory enthusiasts that women should get equality in marriage life. Kate Chopin highlighted the feminism in the story. Louise character makes a great impression and awareness to the women and changed the life of a number of women.
