Part (a) Answer :

Since the acceleration is given by the slope of the velocity-vs-time graph.

(i) Answer : a = 0 m/s2 (Constant velocity)

(ii) Answer : a = {(24 m/s) - (-24 m/s)} / (27 s - 9 s) = 2.67 m/s2

(iii) Answer : a = 0 m/s2 (constant velocity)

Part (b) Answer :

Since the acceleration is given by the slope of the velocity-vs-time graph.

(i) Answer : a = 0 m/s2 (Constant velocity)

(ii) Answer : a = 2.67 m/s2 (Constant acceleration)
