1.Bacteriostatic antibiotics are one which stops the bacterial multiplication and growth but not killing them.

Bacteriocidal antibiotics are one which kills the bacteria

This drug inhibits the production of folic acid in bacteria which is a needed nutrition of it to replicate.

2.The side effects are

Gastrointestinal problems like nausea,vomiting, increased bowel movement, loss of appetite are common side effects of this drug

Stevens Johnson syndrome ,toxic epidermal necrolysis due ,thrombocytopenia,hemolytic anaemia,hepatic necrosis,pancreatitis  to severe allergic reaction ,hypersensitivity and over dosage

• In case of rash,hives,joint pain,skin issues stop the medicine and report immediately
• Gastrointestinal issues are common ,when symptoms disrupt daily activity get medical help.
