The Bible states that "the love of money is the root of all evil" (Tim. 6:10-). However, we're called to be good stewards of our wealth: "thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things" (Matt. 25:23). We're also told "there is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink, and make his soul enjoy the good in his labour" (Eccl. 2:24-).
Many faithful men in the Bible were very wealthy (Abraham for example). What must we do to be able to enjoy wealth without it leading to evil?
God gives us the blessing of wealth to faithfully manage it, and that means we should always be wise stewards. It means we should always be giving, taking care of our families’ alongwith our surroundings and it means that we should actually enjoy the unbelievable blessings that he has put in our hands. And for this we need spiritual maturity. Spiritually mature people with a right view of God’s ownership can do all of that. Wisdom and wealth is a pretty powerful combination. A person who wants to rejoice wealth in the right way must be blessed with wisdom. It’s not the money but the love for it which makes it evil so, one should not be greedy for money.
