A 72-year-old black male was admitted to the hospital with four-vessel CAD. A diagnostic, left heart catheterization was done and it was determined that the patient needed an immediate bypass procedure. An open, aortocoronary bypass was done of the four vessels with heavy disease utilizing a right leg saphenous vein graft that was harvested percutaneously. The patient's pre-existing diabetes and hypertension were monitored and treated with Metformin and Lisinopril respectively. Discharged to home six days after surgery in good condition.
