SWOT Analysis of Kellogg-It is great point to note in Weaknesses that Kellogg’s brand cereals contain high sugar and fructose syrup. According to the Greatist website in 2017 there were 20 cereals that were recognized for being healthy choices. Among the picks are General Mills Cheerios, Wheaties, Kix, and Total, Post Grape Nuts, and Quaker Oats Honey Nut Oatmeal Squares. Not surprisingly no mention of Kellogg. Yet we have read that taste is the number one determinant for cereal lovers.

How do you think this list would affect consumer’s choices if there was more advertising about these healthy alternatives? For example, I have never heard of the Barbara’s brand.

We are living in a universe of advertising & promotion. From getting up in the first part of the day , going in metros, nearby trains, autos, transport, climbing in the lifts in the business focuses, perusing paper, listening radio amid the movement time, sitting in front of the TV at home and obviously in the web( a trend word for advertisers) , going out in end of the week in the shopping center, notwithstanding amid the film , wherever we are encompassed with brands who are endeavoring to move us garments, shoes, vehicles, or lager, toothpastes,

You turn on the TV, and grinning faces out there dependably attempt to move us soup, toothpaste, sweet and so forth. Notwithstanding the amount you think you disregard them, and how little you may trust they influence you, yet as a general rule they do discover a place in your brain. We need to accept we're in entire control of our decisions however we are most certainly not. Passionate reaction can profoundly affect how we think and the decisions we make.

In the given case study,  Kellogg’s brand cereals contain high sugar and fructose syrup. According to the Greatist website in 2017 there were 20 cereals that were recognized for being healthy choices. High sugar is unhealthy for human beings.

If there was more advertising of these healthier alternatives surely the consumers would have turned their heads from Kellog's to these alternatives. This is mainly because:

1. Advertising creates good feeling among consumers.

2. Advertising creates emotional appeal-Emotional Branding

Consumers cling to the brands which are appeal more to them and if these alternatives were promoted or advertised more aggressively then Kellog's would have lost their market share to these alternatives
