FV $              8,000.00

We need to solve the following equation to arrive at the required PMT:

FV = PMT X (1+r) - 1 8000 = PMT X (1+0.08)12 - 1 0.08 PMT =421.56

So the PMT is 421.56 which is what needs to be saved each year to accumulate 8000 at end of 12 years
