The sex ratio for the entire US was less than 100, indicating that there were more females than males. The sex ratio at birth exceeded 1.0, denoting a greater number of male births to female births. How could one account for the difference between the sex ratio for the US and sex ratio at birth?

The difference between sex ratio for the US and sex ratio at birth is that statistically women live longer than male.Life expectancy of females is more than males.As long term trends in health the life expectancy at birth of females is 81 years where as male have life expectancy of 76 years.And females are double the number than males who are aged 85 and older.Statistically womens are living more than mens.So sex ratio of US is drastically different from sex ratio at birth.
