b. Original cost of AFS securities sold = Cost on December 31, 2019 – Cost on December 31, 2020 = ($520,000 - $60,000) - $395,000 = $460,000 - $395,000 = $65,000

Cash received on the sale of AFS securities in 2020 = Original cost of AFS securities sold + Gains on sale of AFS securities = $65,000 + $20,000 = $85,000.
