Herodotus “father of history.”

Becoz in the book "The Histories"( his compiled account , the first historian to collect and systematically document events and create an account.), an account of the origins and execution of the Greco-Persian Wars (499–479 B.C).

This book show about Syria Egypt, Persian Gulf and Greece, Island, Black Sea dhanybe River's voyages are mentioned which currently serves as a major history source for Greece and surrounding areas and discussed about customs, tradition and culture of these societies.
