Answer #1

Triage is the dynamic process of sorting casualities to identify the priority of treatment and evacuation of the wounded. The external factors that need to be assessed for optimal casuality care are tactical situation of the mission, resupply, time and evacuation out.The internal factors that should be assessed for optimal casuality care are availability of medical supplies,space/capability,personnel and stress. As soon as a patient enters the Emergency department ,determine whether care spaces are available,by opting to diagnose rather than treating and then anticipate when it would need to redeploy resources from immediate immediate bedding to triage. Inorder to eliminate unsafe treatment delays ,expediate the patient.Planning sessions are done to avoid unnecessary delays. Thus triage delays can be optimized.
