no, Upset stomach not because of penicillin reaction. the penicillin-allergic reaction includes skin rash, hives, fever, itching, shortness of breath, wheezing and runny nose.
Prednisone medication is a corticosteroid. long term use of corticosteroid increases fungal infection by weakening the immune system. It disturbs the natural microorganism in our body and increases the risk of oral candidiasis.
Teach the patient to use the dropper for measuring the dose. administer one half of the dose in both side of the mouth and make it retain for several minutes before swallowing, it stops the growth of fungus and treats the fungal infection.
advise the patient not to take prednisone for a longer time than recommended. Advice her to take medicine with food and not to crush, or break the tablet and take a whole medicine.
