U.S. has a large aging population that continues to increase the demand for long-term care services from in-home care to facility residential care. Also several milestones have helped to bring attention to mental health conditions and interventions, for example, the implementation of SAMHSA.gov. What are the opportunities and challenges long- term care and mental health services create for health care administrators now and beyond. What knowledge and skills do the health care administrators and nursing home administrators need to have in order to meet the challenges of these two service types?

Long term care and mental health care services need assistant with their activities of daily living. Mental illness is common among older adults. rural providers organization has challenges with lack of resources and capacity to fulfill the mental health services for long term care people. there are barriers to funding under ACA to improve access to mental health services to the long term care population. lack of workforce from health care professionals to work in long term care and due to poor funded rural mental health delivery limited its service for long term care populations. financing and administration of Medicaid and Medicare programs public sectors felt in more strains. Organizational structure for health care administrators coordinates together to broaden the care for elder people. Health care administrators face a problem with compensation and coverage and medication crisis among the elderly population.
Health care administrators and nursing home administrators should focus on quality health care services. quality leadership with standards, strategic policy decision making power, implementing management procedure support the long term care and mental health care facility needs... Their main responsibility to provide quality care for residents includes medical and personal care, supervision of staff in all the departments. their competence and leadership skills, adaptability, ethical skills, communication create meaningful health care facilities for older populations. they should have knowledge of physical and mental effects of the aging process to implement care and treat residents with a standard of living.
