Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by an abnormally low body weight, an intense fear of gaining weight and a distorted perception of weight. In this complication, there is an imbalance of electrolytes occurs like sodium, potassium and calcium. Serum potassium level is severely depleted. The expected range for the serum potassium level in a patient newly diagnosed with anorexia nervosa is < 3.2 mmol/L
