This is a really great post! Everything was so organized and clear! 2 days ago Anne Bizup RE: Skin Cancer Good work Deepa, That is a very comprehensive analysis. You mention that exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors for both types of skin cancer. How can we diminish exposure to this? Does this need to be practiced year round? PRof. Skin cancers melonoma and non melanoma skin cancers

No melanoma skin cancer include basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma

Uv radiation protection

Protect by wearing thick woven clothes to block the light

Protect skin with broad-spectrum sun screen  

Have broad hats over the head

Eye wear

Use uv protected window glasses for home and cars

Avoid tanning beds and sun lamps

As the uv radiation are more from 10AM to 4PM avoid that time

Yes it is better to follow the precautions through out the year to not to develop again
