- Teach him the complications of smoking while oxygen is running

D) Importance of perfusion for oximetry to function properly is that it provides as the details of percentage of oxygen present in the blood . If it does not work correctly then it would provide false results it could above normal or below normal or pseudo normal and medical actions would be taken according to that false results . Hence ,it could cause complications like retrolental hyperplasia , retinopathy of prematurity ,fire etc
