Answer #1

Answer: Hemoglobin (Ref 12-16 g/dl )
16g/dl - This within the normal range
Hematocrit (Ref 37-47% )
47% - This is within the normal range
White blood cell (Ref 4,500-10,000/mcL)
11,000/mcL - WBCs are high and it indicates that the patient has some infection
Platelets (Ref 150,000-400,000/mm³)
105,000 /mm³ - Platelets are below normal range
BUN (Ref 10-20 mg/dl)
22 mg/dl - BUN is above normal range and needs attention
Creatinine (Ref 0.5-1.1 mg/dl)
1.2 mg/dl - Creatinine levels are slightly above normal
LDH (Ref 45-90units/L)
120 units/L - LDH levels are above normal levels
AST (Ref 4-20 units/L )
61 units/L - AST levels are above normal levels
ALT (Ref 3-21 units/L )
56 units/L - ALT levels are above normal levels
Bilirubin (Ref 0.1-1 mg/dl)
1.2 mg/dl - Bilirubin levels are above normal

Since the patient is suffering from Proteinuria, the kidneys would be affected by lupus kidney disease or Nephritis. In such cases, the creatinine, LDH, AST, ALT and Bilrubin levels will be on a higher side and also higher BUN levels indicate a possible damage to the kidney.

The nurse should advise the patient to have low levels of magnesium sulphate diet since magnesium sulphate is used to treat progression of CKD. The levels of magnesium sulphate should be administered as per the physician after considering all the levels being tested for the patient.
