3. The method nurse should initiate to alleviate the pain of venipuncture is prilocaine(EMLA cream).

prilocaine is local anesthesia. it can tropically use to prevent pan in the small procedures and needle puncture. Other options are wrong because 'B' suggests intravenous us of NS and 'C' suggest intravenous use of an anesthesia agent(Intravenous use does not reduce local pain). 'D' suggests Vitamine E use(Vitamine E does not reduce pain).
