She has not been able to take in any fluids x 2 days secondary to her sore throat and inability to swallow. Endorses diaphoresis, but does not have a thermometer at home. In the ED, she is febrile (103.2), appears dehydrated and slightly confused to time and place.

IVF NS 125 cc/hour
IV ceftriaxone 1 gm q 8 hours after blood cultures taken

I think the problem might be bacterial or fungal throat infection.
