Answer: The barcode medication administration is an automated information system that is inventory control system which is used to prevent medical error by providing the medicines. By electronically evaluation and documenting medication, the main aim of BCMA is to provide patient correct medication at the correct time.

The system generates the medicine that has to be given to the patient along with the dose and then it is reached to that particular floor where patient is admitted. The goals of BCMA is to keep check on the medication that the patient receive at specific time mentioned by the physician. This will prevent Medical error.

These reports should be printed about the Patient's medication as well as number of times the drugs that has to be taken in particular dose. If any kind of precautions is their then it should be also mentioned as to take with food or after.
