The Terri Schiavo case was a right-to-die legal case in the United States from 1990 to 2005, involving Theresa Marie Schiavo, a woman in an irreversible persistent vegetative state. She was 26 years old when she collapsed and was in a vegetative state for 15 years. Schiavo's husband and legal guardian argued that Schiavo would not have wanted prolonged artificial life support without the prospect of recovery, and elected to remove her feeding tube. Schiavo's parents disputed her husband's assertions and challenged Schiavo's medical diagnosis, arguing in favor of continuing artificial nutrition and hydration.[1][2] The highly publicized and prolonged series of legal challenges presented by her parents, which ultimately involved state and federal politicians up to the level of President George W. Bush, caused a seven-year delay before Schiavo's feeding tube was ultimately removed.

I. Introduction :

Bioethics these are concerned with the questions regarding basic human values, such as right to life and health , and writeness or wrongness of certain developments in health care institutions and regarding life technology , medicine, health professions, about society responsibility for the life and health of its members.

Here the bioethical issue is right to die, because the client is collapsed and vegetative state since 15 years.

Here the stakeholders involved state and federal politicians, and family members, and seven year delay before schiavo's feeding tube was ultimately removed.

And the husband is asking to remove rules tube for reducing pain from that. But parents are not accepting that.

II. Bio ethical analysis :

Analyz the role of end life bioethical issues :

Bioethical issues analysis means finding the decision which are taken write or wrong.

Here role of end life issues it involves patient or relatives refusing to take treatment, including nutrition and hydration ect. Do not resuscitate, and assist in suicide.

In this case patient husband and guardian asking for stopping feeding by tube. It is also one of the ethical issues.

If there is no chance or use to give feed to her by taking consent from them we can stop it.

III. Conclusion :

Bioethical issues influences the decisions of health care professionals.

Like ethical dilemma may arises, among health care professionals and patient attenders, because the decisions which are taken by health care professionals the family members may not acceptable and in these case ethical dilemma is there among husband and parents of the client.

* so the health care professionals decisions may not implemented with out family members consent.

Ex : in some situations the nurse have some truthful information to wards to the clients, but physicians and family members may not allow her to tell the information to client.
