Answer #1

Ans) Order: Acylovir ( Zovirax) - 250 mg

Vial contains 1000 mg

Preparation: Adding 20 ml of dilutent in 1000mg yields a strength of 50mg in 1 ml

50mg= 1 ml

250mg= x

Let x be the amount in ml to administer a dose of 250 mg

x= 250/50= 5 ml

So, the nurse should withdraw 5 ml from the vial to administer 250 mg Acylovir.
