Please compare and contrast the population-based orientation of public health with the individual-centered focus of private health practitioners.
ANSWER :
Public health focuses on the health of people and it is oriented on the preventing disease conditions, provides research , treatment for diseases, provision of safe water supply for drinking, safe air, food free from contamination or adulteration, etc all of these methods are used to provide knowledge to people in order to safe guard their health in a good way. The public health orientations should be utilized by the public in order to make decisions which are good for their own health, and if they are not able to afford the practices there may be a chance of an epidemic diseases. People has to utilize the services like immunizations against the diseases to protect them against infections and diseases and if not they get exposed to repeated infections, increase in the rate of disease conditions, if they have neglected their health they get admitted in the hospital under emergency rooms. If the bed space is less and the patient rate is more then public has to approach for a private hospital for treatment where the cost of health increases and at a time public health problem will rise.
