Interaction is the process by which one substance enhances or slow down the process of work of other drugs.

1) Metronidazole and novahostine ester:

Before knowing about drug interaction we have firstly know that what these drugs does to our body:

A) Metronidazole: It is a antibiotic and antiprotozal medication. It is mainly used to treat pelvic inflammatory diseases,endocarditis and bacterial vaginosis.

B) Novahistine esters are group of drugs which in combination used to treat cold, rhinitis , breathing illness etc

There is no specific drug interaction is between these drugs so are safer for use both at a time but after approval from a trained medical professional.

2) Impenem and cilastatin: These drugs are used in combination to treat severe infections of heart,lungs, bladder ,skin,blood ,bones, reproductive organs.

These when given in combination is proved to be beneficial. Cilastatin helps impenem work more effectively by preventing breakdown of antibiotic by kidney.

3) Lovastatin and grapefruits: Grapefruits contains a chemical that interfere with your body's ability to breakdown or metabolize certain statin medications.

These chemical increases levels of statin in blood that increases possibility of side effects.

Main side effects are : a) pain in stomach area

b) Nausea

c) Heartburn

d) constipation

e) muscle pain etc

4) Tetracycline and milk or mylanta:

Tetracycline are antibiotic used to treat severe infections.

It is advised to take empty stomach or before or after 2 to 3 hours of taking milk , calcium , magnesium

Mylanta are group of drugs that are antacid in nature.

Milk as well as mylanta both decrease absorbtion of Tetracycline thus decrease it's efficiency.
