Answer #1

1. Formula :

Particle per microliter volume = counted particles / counted surface × chamber depth × dilution

WBC :

Counted number of WBC = 6

Counted surface = 4mm2

Chamber depth = 1/ 10mm

Dilution = 1:20

= 6× 50 =300 cells /microliter volume is the number of WBC particles

2. Formula to Cala the number of RBC :

Number of cells counted × dilution factor × 5 / volume ( 0.1 )

= Number of RBC counted -12

Dilution factor -1:20

= 12× 1× 5/ 0.1 ×20

= 12000 cells /microliter volume
