These three factors are the risk factorsfor most chronic diseases that one cannot change. They are the non-modifiable risk factors for chronic diseases.

Gender: one of the major risk factor of chronic diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer's disease, Obesity is Genetic predisposition. Genetic predisposition can affect the onset, severity and prognosis of chronic diseases.

Ethnicity: it refers to the common characteristics of a group of people. Ethnicity also plays a major role in chronic disease. For example: studies shows that notably increased rates of coronary artery disease among blacks in the US, stroke among African Caribbean in UK and diabetes and heart disease in South Asians in UK are recorded.

Increasing age: aging is an inevitable process in living beings.

In human beings advance in age is a risk factor for most of the chronic diseases. chance of getting diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiovascular disease and neuro degenerative diseases are increasing with advanced age.

These two sentences are true about physical activity.

Obesity is characterised by excessive amount of body fat. Obesity leads to many health problems such as Cardiovascular diseases and diabetes in turn leads to less activity.

Studies shows that ethnic minorities in US and Canada are less active than White Americans. So they are engaged more in physical exercises and fitness programmes to prevent life style disease.

It is a chronic neurological disorder resulting in lack of control in movement, poor balance and coordination. The main symptoms are tremor, rigidity( progressive stiffness) leads to difficulty in walking, resistance to movements in joints and bradykinesia( slowness of movement)

30. Sedentary lifestyle.

Sedentary lifestyle or lack of physical activity is the major cause of death in women and men. Because lack of physical activity is the primary cause of cardiovascular disease. Heart Disease are the major cause of death in US. Physical inactivity also causes obesity, Hypertension, high Cholesterol and diabetes.
