Answer #1

A patient interview at times can make the interviewer feel uncomfortable if the history collection question is based on personal life ( an act of intervening in confidential matters whuch can affectbthe emotions of patients) ,a question related to the actual cause of injury (victims may be self or others) ,a patient who is very reserved and possessive in expressing their thoughts.

For instance

A question when asked in regards to violence or violent behaviour of the patient should be asked carefully ."This could be asked better by "What made you to get anger when you were calm"

Asking in this way neither affects the patients emotion(anger) nor the interviewer for harm.

The non verbal behaviours like facial expression, posture, gestures which shows lack of listening can make a patient easily distracted

A technique like one to one conversation with patients are always the best option to collect patient details. There should be a clarity in question which is easily understandable by the patient .The area always and constantly to be improved are communication part while conversing with patients.
