Answer #1

1. The patient's present weight is 70 kg

She has gained 12lbs means 12×0.45 = 5.4kg

5.4 kg of weight she has gained in the first 4months of pregnancy . So, her pre - pregnancy weight in lb was 143.5 lbs ( 70kg - 5.4 kg = 64.6 kg , 64.6kg ÷ 0.45 = 143.5lb )

2. The length of baby when he was born was 52 cm = 20.47inches

The baby has grown 2 inches =5.08cm

So, his new length will be 57.08 cm and 22.47 inches

3. The temperature of the patient is 37.2 ℃

Temperature increased by 2 °F

Firstly , we have to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit

Formula = 9/5 × ℃ + 32

= 9/5 ×37.2 + 32

= 98.9°F

Temperature increased by 2°F ,so the present temperature will be 100.2 °F

4. 1800 ml of formula feed is providing 280 GM of glucose

1ml of formula feed will provide 280/1800gm

1290ml of formula feed will provide = 280/1800× 1290

= 200.6 GM of glucose will be provided by 1290 ml of formula feed .

The second patient will get 200.6gm of glucose
