1.When a person is bleeding which is spurting in every heartbeat ,it means the arteries are injured and that is the reason for spurting.To stop bleed apply pressure directly on the wound and apply a pressure bandage

Just applyinga pressure bandage will not stop bleed until a direct pressure is applied

Lowering the wound below the heart level will increase the bleedingdue to gravitational effect ,Always the injured or bleeding sure should be raised above the chest level to minimize bleeding

Application of tourniquet will increased the bleeding rather than stopping

2.CPR is a life saving procedure which differes for different age group broadly divided as infant,children and adults. The ratio of compression and breath rate remains same in all except for the depth and use of the entire hand (Palm intelocked) to fingers in infants.Usually the infants are given a compression of 30 for 2 breaths and the depth of compression should be 1 1/2 inch only with two fingers (index and middle finger )
