Answer: Our blood contains haemoglobin which carries the oxygen to cell all over the body. There is abnormality occurs in the haemoglobin where there is insufficient of the healthy red blood cells. Hence this causes disturbance in the blood functioning. Contraceptive used in the patient with sickle cell disease may cause blood clotting which can be fatal for the patient.
