Answer #1

Normail saline - 4 ml

Available medication - 5mg in 1 ml dosette vials

Required volume = Prescribed dose \div available dose \times available volume

                            = 9 mg \div 5 mg \times 1 ml

                            = 1.8 ml

1.8 ml of morphine sulphate is diluted with 4 ml of normal saline (1.8+4) making a total of 5.8 ml of total volume in the syringe for an intravenous push.
