Answer #1

Answer

The researcher should reject the null hypothesis. The potential error that the researcher is making a type II error.

Explanation

The researcher sets the acceptance level of significance is at 0.01 (which means 1%). It is not only indicated 1%. Until 1% ( less than or equal to 1% but not beyond 1%)

The statistical analysis reveals 0.09 level of significance, which means 0.9% error is possible. So the researcher have to reject null hypothesis. ( Null hypothesis means the statement of there is no significant relationship between the two things at a level of significance which the researcher sets).

Type I error: Null hypothesis is actually true; the researcher rejects the null hypothesis.

Type II error: Null hypothesis is actually false; but the researcher accepts the hypothesis
