Ans) Hospital-Acquired Pressure Ulcers: A pressure ulcer, sometimes called a bedsore, is an injury to the skin or underlying tissue caused by pressure, friction and moisture. These ulcers often occur when patients have limited mobility and can't change positions in bed on their own.

- Bedsores are caused by pressure against the skin that limits blood flow to the skin. Other factors related to limited mobility can make the skin vulnerable to damage and contribute to the development of pressure sores.

Three primary contributing factors for bedsores are: Pressure, Friction & Shear.
