Weight:132lbs (59.8kg upon rounding off it is 60 kg)

Ordered dose:20mg/kg therefore 60kg=??

=1200mg (60×20)

The patient has to receive this 1200mg in three divided doses so to calculate one dose divide total dose by 3

=1200÷3

=400mg

Ans:The nurse should administer 400 mg/dose
