Standardized nursing terminologies allow us to capture, represent , access and communicate nursing data, information and knowledge .

NANDA International is a professional organization of nurses interested in standardized nursing terminology, that was officially founded in 1982 . It helps to develop, researche disseminate and refines the nomenclature, criteria, and taxonomy of nursing diagnoses. It is model which guides the nursing staffs to how to operate each step . For example in nursing process we have five steps given by NANDA - assessment , diagnosis , planning , implementation and evaluation
