Neurogenic dysphagia causes difficult swallowing solid foods, it interrelated with physiological stages. physical obstruction occurs when the esophagus lumen is narrowed there is a difficulty for solids it occurs early. when a patient with neurological disorders it causes swallowing impairment with neuromuscular dysfunction. patient will be bedridden or inability to move their body(paralysis) due to lesions on the cerebral cortex, basal ganglia, brain stem, cerebellum, and lower cranial nerves.
