FADE model Is a quality improvement model in a health care system. FADE stands for Focus,Analyse,Develop and Execute. Quality is a prime factor in health care services. The first step In the FADE model involves the focusing on problems to be analyze ,second step once the stem of the problem has been identified possible solutions should be developed and this is a crucial step in quality improvement. In third step Involves action plan the steps to be taken inorder to solve a problem in this phase the goals and action plans are communicated among health workers. The final steps involves implementing best solution in the real clinical setting on a pilot basis periodical evaluation is also monitored to keep a tract on the effectiveness of the plan.

A quality improvement project to assess knowledge of nurses in postoperative unit regarding prevention of surgical site infection.
- First we focused on the nurses who all are working in postoperative unit inorder to collect data.
- Second, we analyzed the current level of nurses about surgical site infection using a valid questionnaire. Pretest shows nursing practice related to surgical site infection is not satisfactory .
- Third step includes develop of action plans. Efforts need to be initiated from QI to plan educational and awareness program among nurses in regard to prevention of SSI.
- Final steps involve administering post test questionnaire to Target population who has undergone educational program and evaluate nurse knowledge on SSI. Once effectiveness of educational program is achieved periodical monitoring is done to maintain quality standards.
