Ladies and Gentlemen, Our opening topic is Globalization. The world is now more connected than it ever has been. This poses some interesting challenges and opportunities. Chief among these challenges is our tendency to assume things. I want to pose a question for discussion. Below are some products that we associate with particular countries. Is a Chevrolet assembled in South Korea a Korean car? Volvo is now owned by Geely of China; Jaguar and Land Rover, which had been part of Ford, are now owned by India's Tata Motors; and BMW owns Rolls-Royce. 2. Ans.1 Every words mentioned in the statement is TRUE. Infact, DUCATI Italian brand (a dream bike for most youngsters) is now owned by VOLKSWAGEN a German Giant.

Ans.2 This doesn't have correct or In-correct answer. It has to be seen against the length of the time i.e. Short-Run & Long-Run to answer completely. However, here it is a generic so in a nut-shell it is good for consumers and challenging for producers. Good for consumers because they now have the availability of high quality specialised product at a competitive rate which not have been possible without Globalisation.

Challenging for Producer as there many competitors in the market having access to similar production resources (Land, Labour, Capital, organisation etc) there by calling for USP (unique selling proposition) and huge investment in branding, marketing, advertising with limit exploit return-to-scale.
