Just before the doors close Agent Rumlow and another member of the STRIKE team also get onto the elevator. Agent Rumlow makes somewhat forced conversation with Steve. When Agent Rumlow makes brief eye contact with Steve his eyes are dilated and he clearly looks like he's trying to relax. After that initial brief glance, he never makes eye contact again. Steve then sees the other STRIKE member standing tensely with his hand on his weapon. The man turns away trying to seem nonchalant but Steve can see both are edgy. The doors open again and a number of men in business suits get on and filter around Steve. Agent Rumlow again speaks to Steve. After answering Agent Rumlow, Steve glances at the man to his side and notices that this man, who came from an upper floor in an air-conditioned building, is wearing a suit and sweating heavily He is also avoiding eye contact and seems most uncomfortable with having Steve look at him. Then the doors open arain and the rest of the STRIKE team gets on the elevator. At this point, Steve realizes that everyone in the elevator is breathing heavier than usual and far too tense for a simple trip between floors. Considering the content of his conversation with Alexander Pierce and last conversation with Director Fury, Captain America realizes that he is about to be attacked by SHIELD. Review Questions: 1. Our eyes get dialated when we are in adrenalin rush during fight or flight situation.

The second symptom is the people are not able to make eye contact.

When people feel anxious about you knowing about their lies they do not make eye contact.

And thirdly the man are highly sweating even when they entered from air conditioned building.

It is also a fight or flight response as adrenalin activates sweat glands.
