b) The heat that the metal loses is:

q metal = - q H2O = - 2508 J

c) The specific heat is calculated:

c = q / m * ΔT = - 2508 J / 250 g * (27 - 38) = 0.912 J / g * C

Copper transfers heat faster, since it has a lower specific heat.
