The energy of orbitals increases in the order as shown below.

1 s < 2 s < 2 p < 3 s < 3 p < 4 s < 3 d < 4 p < 5 s < 4 d < 5 p < 6 s < 4 f < 5 d < 6 p < 7 s < 5 f < 6 d .

We know that , s orbital contain 2 electrons, p orbital contain 6 electrons , d orbital contain 10 electrons , f orbital contain 14 electrons.

Hence, we can count electrons present in the given atom containing half filled 6 d orbital.
