l is the azimuthal quantum number and can have values equal to 0 to (n – 1) where n is the principal quantum number. ml is the magnetic quantum number and can have values -l through 0 to +l. ms is the spin quantum number and can assume value either +1/2 or -1/2.

Therefore, when n = 2, l can have values 0 and 1 and ml will have values -1, 0, +1. ms will have values 1/2.

Therefore, when l = 0, n can have can positive value greater than l, i.e, n > (l + 1). Hence, l = 0, n = 6 is possible.

When l = 0, ml can have only one value, i.e, 0.

Therefore, the only possible option or correct option is (A) n = 6.
