Given that,

n = 7

Range = Maximum value - Minimum value

= 286 - 256

= 30

Range = 30 minutes

Sample standard deviation is s

s =  \sqrt 1/(n-1)\sum(x -\bar x  )2

=  \sqrt1/6 (286 - 265 )2+ (269 - 265 )2+ (259 - 265 )2+ (265- 265 )2 +( 256 - 265 )2+ (263 - 265 )2 + (257 - 265)2)

= \sqrt 1/6 (441+16+36+0+81+4+64 )

= \sqrt 642/6

= \sqrt 107

= 10.3

Sample standard deviation is s = 10.3 minutes.
