The guru of organizational philosophy and practices M. Imai has stated that three essential pillars of Kaizen are as follows:

1.     Housekeeping

2.     Elimination of waste and

3.     Standardization

According to the philosophy of  organizations, both employers and employees must work collaborate to attain the requirements of each organizational categories. Key activities associated with organizational pillars are mentioned below:

·       Visual management

·       Distinguishing the role of supervisor in an organization

·       Collaboration of instruction and learning environment in the organization

Analysis of three essential pillars are as follows:

1.     Housekeeping

Housekeeping implies the management and proper decoration of a workplace or Gemba. Gemba is a Japanese a term which is utilized to signify the real place or workplace. Additionally, cost joins with products and services before it I transformed in the next level of the supply chain. Housekeeping is generally formed by five key elements which are termed as 5S. Five S is-

·       Seiri: It implies the organization

·       Seiton: tidiness and transparency of an organization

·       Seiso: It indicates the purity

·       Seiketsu: Cleanness of an organization

·       Shitsuke: Ethical maintenance of discipline

These five elements are observed for quality housekeeping.

2.     Elimination of waste:

The reduction of Muda is the ultimate aim of this part. Adding cost to manufacturing goods and not adding cost to product quality are classifications of Muda. Muda is a Japanese term which indicates Waste. Organizational activities maintain a sequential process which includes several costly and cost-effective processes. Kaizen ethics has addressed seven Muda including

·       Excessive production

·       Long waiting

·       Transportation

·       Unwanted inventory

·       Over-processing

·       Defective part

·       Unnecessary motion

3.     Standardization

This is the last step of Kaizen. Specific standards are set by the management to modify and highlight environmental changes. A smooth flow of the standardized process is strictly maintained in the organization focusing on the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle.
